Marius Creati, the Venus of Macomer
The Venus of Macomer is a little prehistoric statue of basalt, approximately 14cm tall, recovered in 1949 in a rocky flume on the sides of the river S’Adde, near Macomer, a commune nearby Nuoro, in Sardinia. The precious hand-manufactured piece representing a Goddess Mother, going back to The Upper Paleolithic period, evidences a strong erotic contents visible in the emphasized plasticism of the gluteus and the breast, feminine attributes testifying the prehistoric cult of the nature understood like bestower of life and fertility.
Volitive object of rendering that I have chosen like topic of inspiration for a fashionable style imprint, but with the tendency vaguely “pre-historic”, in which just the fertility and life concept represents the image dispensed by the realized works, characterized by the presence of precise details referable to the same propitiation manifested by the statue.
The proposed dresses represent a light oscillation from the real archaic propitiatory concept at the mercy of a couture vision, oddball and malicious, but of veiled elegance, perceptible through a chic callback from a taste vaguely fetish.
Model 01 – light fitted at the waist dress in a sheath line covering the knee, American neckline fitted of chinstrap hood and visor. Adherent sandal boot with lozenge motifs. Fetish complement accessories;
Model 02 – corset top bustier, whaleboned and shaped, with a balcony neckline and thin shoulder straps. Sandals, oversize shoulder bag with fetish details and complement accessories;
Model 03 – asymmetric top with pointed bosom motif, skinny pants bikini-leggings and glove all with fetish applications. Sandals with details;
Model 04 – jacket suit single-shoulder, side buttoning with a shaped line, lozenge detail on the flap and pointed bosom motif; trousers cigarette line with side ribbon frill. Adorned sandals and fetish accessories;
Model 05 – long asymmetric dress single-shoulder with a light fitted at the waist line and detail pointed bosom motif. Thong sandals with details, fetish accessories;
Model 06 – armhole long dress light fitted at the waist with pointed bosom motif detail, side vent from the knee and chinstrap hood and visor. Sandals and fetish complement accessories;
Model 07 – long dress with American neckline and a light fitted at the waist line, detail pointed bosom motif and fetish applications. Sandals and complement accessories;
Model 08 – wedding dress composed by corset bustier, whaleboned and shaped, with balcony neckline and pleated bib with back collar-pendants, straight line long skirt, tight gloves and veil full of fetish details. Sandals flip-flop and complement accessories.
